Yes off course, feedback is an extremely powerful tool to improve quality, when it is received at the right time, and corrective action is taken in a timely manner. At Guru Institute we strive for continuous improvement and the effective appraisal system & feedback is mechanised for maximum benefit to the students. It involves routine personal interaction-discussion-resolution, suggestion box (student can write anonymously), online feedback and online review system is also in place.

What types of library facilities are provided?

At Guru Institute, we have a rich collection of text books, rare books and foreign author books required for preparation of competitive exams. The students of the institute can utilize Library facilities by sitting and studying in the academic atmosphere or they can get the required books issued to carry with them.

What is frequency of the tests and how these are conducted?

Tests are conducted after completion of every topic and then combined topics and finally mock tests are conducted. Online and offline test facilities are available.

Do you provide study material?

Yes, comprehensive study material prepared by the expert faculty of Guru Institute is provided, which enhances the conceptual understanding of the subject and at the same time it makes the student to learn how to apply a particular concept to solve problems.

What is the strategy for preparation of a particular exam?

After the commencement of batch, a ‘Orientation Class’ is held to discuss comprehensive & systematic strategy for the preparation of a particular exam. Time to time counseling sessions are held so that the preparation of students remains on track. We have developed unique & efficient teaching methodology so that even weak student’s easily cope with and perform excellently to achieve bright career.

How the doubts are cleared?

In accordance with Albert Einstein’s familiar quote “The important thing is not to stop questioning… Never lose a holy Curiosity… Don’t stop to marvel’, we always persuade young curious minds to bring their doubts and have fruitful discussion with their proficient teachers. Students can clear their doubts daily before the commencement of class, after the completion of class or during class. We also have doubt sessions after completion of every unit of syllabus and tests. We convincingly claim no student will carry doubts in mind after completion of course.

What’s the experience and qualification of the teachers?

I am doing M.Sc./B.Tech from Chandigarh, which is the most suitable batch for me for CSIR-UGC (JRF/NET)/GATE?

Dear Student, you can join Regular batch as the timing of the regular batches is adjusted in such a way so that there is no clash of timing with your M.Sc./B.Tech classes in your institution.

Do you provide coaching during Summer Vacations for CSIR-UGC (JRF/NET), IIT-JAM, GATE and other M.Sc. Entrance tests?

Yes, we provide coaching during Summer Vacations at Guru Institute, and these batches are highly useful to students who have just appeared and in M.Sc. 2nd semester Exam or B.Sc. (Hons.) 6th Semester Exam (for CSIR-UGC (JRF/NET)), B.Sc. 2nd & 4th Semester (for IIT-JAM & other M.Sc. Entrance Exams), B.Tech.4th, 6th or 8th Semester Exam (for GATE). These batches are even more fruitful for students studying out of Chandigarh as they can’t attend Regular Batches. After the completion of Summer Vacation Batches students get online test series so they need not to come especially to take tests and doubt sessions are conducted during holidays. Summer Vacation Batches are organized from June 1 to July end (till Universities/Colleges reopens).

What is the basic infrastructure available in the Institute?

When do you start weekend batches for CSIR-UGC (JRF/NET), IIT-JAM, GATE and M.Sc. Entrance tests (PU, DU etc.)?

At Guru Institute, the schedule of weekend batches is given below:
1. For CSIR-UGC (JRF/NET): Weekend Batches start from July 15 for JRF/NET Exam to be held in the month of December and Jan 15 for JRF/NET Exam to be held in the month of June.
2. For IIT-JAM & M.Sc. Entrance: Weekend Batches start from August 1 for IIT-JAM Exam to be held in the months of February, May/June.
3. GATE: Weekend Batches start from July 5.

When do you start Regular batches for CSIR-UGC (JRF/NET), IIT-JAM, GATE and M.Sc. Entrance tests (PU, DU etc.)?

At Guru Institute, the schedule of Regular batches is given below:
1. For CSIR-UGC (JRF/NET): Regular Batches start from July 5, Aug 5 and Sept 5 for JRF/NET Exam to be held in the month of December and Jan 5, Feb 5 & March 5 for JRF/NET Exam to be held in the month of June.
2. For IIT-JAM: Regular Batches start from August 1 for IIT-JAM Exam to be held in the month of February.
3. GATE: Regular Batches start from July 5 for GATE Exam to be held in the month of February.
4. M.Sc. Entrance (PU, DU etc.): Regular Batches start from January 15 to March 14 (Duration: 2 months), March 15 to April 15 (Duration: 1 months) & May 27 to June 10 (Duration: 10-15 days) for M.Sc. Entrance Exams to be held in the month of May/June.

What’s the fee structure of various courses?

The fee is different for different courses and subjects. At Guru Institute the quality of teaching is maintained to the highest possible standards. The purpose of Institute is to disseminate knowledge to all the sections of society, keeping this in view fees of all courses is kept very affordable.

What is the strength of students in a batch? Do all students get personal attention?

The student strength of all the batches is fixed and it never exceeds the permissible limit. While fixing the number of seats in a batch, it’s always kept in mind that each student gets personal attention and all queries of the students are sorted out satisfactorily. We ensure 100% satisfaction of the student.

Do you provide any fellowship or discount on fee?

At Guru Institute, to encourage the toppers, meritorious students, students from weaker section of society etc., we provide fellowship/discount but never discount quality of education. For further details you may contact office.

I am doing B.Sc. from Chandigarh, which is the most suitable batch for me for IIT-JAM?

Dear Student, you can join Regular Batch as the timing of the regular batches are adjusted in such a way so that there is no clash of timing with your B.Sc. classes in your institution. Some of the students prefer to join Summer Vacation Batch (from June 1 to July end) after exams of 2nd or 4th semester and afterwards they continue in regular or weekend batch (from August 1) as per their convenience.

Do you finish the syllabus in time?

Yes, curriculum of all the courses is designed in such a way so that syllabus is finished well in time and students get sufficient time for revision, revision test series and final doubt sessions.

I am in B.Sc. 4th semester from some institution situated away from Chandigarh, which is the most suitable batch for me for IIT-JAM?

Dear Student, you can join Summer Vacation Batch (from June 1 to July end). Whole syllabus shall be covered during this period. And second option is you can join weekend batch (starting August 1).

I am doing M.Sc. 2nd semester from some institution situated away from Chandigarh, which is the most suitable batch for me for CSIR-UGC (JRF/NET)/GATE?

Dear Student, you can join Summer Vacation Batch (from June 1 to July end). Whole syllabus shall be covered during this period. And second option is you can join weekend batch (starting July 15).
